Elise Bouchner, Co-founder, JD, PHR

Prior to forming The Training Source, Elise practiced employment law for 10 years with Liskow & Lewis and The Onebane Law Firm, two large firms located in Lafayette, Louisiana. In this capacity she defended discrimination and harassment claims, advised clients regarding employment-related legal matters and conducted many training seminars on employment law topics. Elise earned her Bachelors degree from Emory University. Following, she attended Yale Law School, and graduated cum laude from Syracuse Law School with her Juris Doctorate.

She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (Acadiana chapter), the Lafayette, Louisiana, Lafayette Parish, Connecticut, and American Bar Association, and is a certified professional in human resources (PHR).

Active in civic and community events, Elise is one of the founding members of the Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA 100), board member of The Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, former board member of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation, sustaining member for the Junior League of Lafayette, and a
Leadership Lafayette Class XXI graduate. Elise was recognized as one of The Daily Advertiser and CHASE Bank’s 20UNDER40 award winners in 2006 and a 2007 recipient of The Independent Weekly’s annual Women Who Mean Business honors which exemplify perseverance and determination.

Elise believes that bringing high-level training and human resource expertise to companies will reduce legal risk they may face. Her legal experience and perspective gives The Training Source valuable insight on workplace issues.
